Die Bybel is ’n uitnodiging om die God te leer ken wat Homself deur ‘n verhaal openbaar en om te ontdek dat jy deel van daardie verhaal is. Ons baseer die reeks op ’n bestaande videoreeks van BibleProject, en voorsien ons eie stof in aansluiting by videosnitte wat weekliks saam gekyk word.

Ons nooi almal om vir die ses weke deel te neem aan hierdie avontuur met behulp van die stof wat weekliks in die nuusbrief sal verskyn. Al die kleingroepe neem oudergewoonte saam deel aan die reeks. David and the Psalms
See the area around Bethlehem where David would have grown up, was a shepherd and wrote many of the Psalms we have in Scripture. Bethlehem means, “House of Bread.” Maybe because many wheat and barley fields were in this area. We know that in the story of Ruth and Boaz that Boaz was a wealthy farmer from Bethlehem who had a large field of barley here and that Ruth gleaned these fields to provide for her and her mother-in-law, Naomi. King David was born and raised here in Bethlehem. It was in the hills surrounding Bethlehem that David wrote many of the Psalms we find in Scripture.
